Drawings, Paintings, and Prints

Much of my work references the everyday journey, an emphasis on repetitive gestures that weave a greater pattern, a whole.  Repetitive text is often used as the vehicle to convey my ideas to the viewer.  Calligraphic rhythms are created, each time asking the same question and each time answering the same answer.  Words blend into one another, a gestalt of memories.  Totality is simultaneously presented with accentuated individual moments, gestures, and words.  The work tries to push the viewer into stepping back to look at the field of color and patterns, yet pull them into observing the individual writings.  Two forces, the macro and the micro, coexist, complimenting one another
